Welcome to the Barking Goat Tavern! We founded the Barking Goat Tavern with the simple idea that great beer and great food CAN be combined in a casual environment. We have the best selection of draft and bottled beer in Douglas County. According to an old brewer and vintner saying, “It takes a keg of beer to make a good bottle of wine and a bottle of wine to make a good keg of beer,” and we offer a wonderful selection of wines, each available by the glass or bottle. The Barking Goat Tavern also has a full bar with a wide variety of spirits.

Our menu features a combination of tavern classics and some innovative items you won’t find anywhere else. Our hamburger buns, baguettes and pretzels are baked fresh for us by Dream Pastries in Castle Rock, and our meats and cheeses are the best in the world. We incorporate elements of seasonality into our daily specials and rotate some of our beers regularly, allowing you to check out the latest beers from breweries around the world.

The environment here at the Barking Goat is one of a kind, and grown ups and kids will feel right at home here. The bar in the main tavern was brought over piece-by-piece from Europe and is where you will find folks from all walks of life sharing stories over a cold pint. The Goat Room has a more modern feel and is a family friendly sports bar with six televisions, a projection screen, pool table, and Golden Tee. Football season is about to kick off and we will have both the College and NFL tickets on Direct TV so you can check out any game you like!  We have live music every Friday night in the Goat Room and a variety of other activities throughout the week. If you are looking for a quieter place to meet an old friend or a contemplative respite from daily life settle in to our cozy Library. During the warmer months, relax on the on the patio and enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather.
